Responsibilities

  • Patient Care:

    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Continuous Learning:

    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.

Qualifications
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Overview

St. Alexius Health is seeking a caring & motivated physician to join our Palliative Care t eam. This is a hybrid position combining palliative medicine with your primary speialty, such as IM, FM, etc. Opportunity will be a blend of inpatient consultative service and outpatient clinic, working collaboratively to provide supportive/palliative care consultations to patients, family, as well as other involved healthcare providers.

  • Clinic-based practice; No call
  • IP consults during clinical hours; M-F, 8am-5pm
  • Join highly experienced Advanced Practice Providers who work side-by-side with you
  • Lead the assessment, planning and implementation and evaluation of palliative care interventions
  • Provide patient specific education as it relates to palliative care
  • Provide safe, therapeutic and cost-effective patient care
  • Collaborate with Hospital Medicine, Cardiology, Pulm, ICU, and more
  • Develop, institute, and maintain patient/family education and support material/programs as appropriate
