Job Description

The Spa Attendant is responsible for guest satisfaction in the spa by ensuring all areas of the spa and locker room are immaculately presented and always stocked while maintaining all spa standards throughout all procedures. Guests will be attended to promptly with no delay. The spa attendant will act in a professional and approachable manner and follow all established protocols and checklists to enhance the operation, guest experience, and overall safety for all.

Qualifications

• Ability to remain calm and organized in busy environment
• Be able to demonstrate consistently strong attention to detail skills
• Excellent Customer Service Skills required; high school level reading, writing and mathematical skills. Friendly, energetic, dependable, patient, detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills in English and able to print legibly
• Must be able to work flexible hours

Additional Information

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Constantly orient all guests to the spa facility whether a first-time guest or a return guest
• Constantly follow the V.I.E.W. steps on a consistent basis.
• Check and verify ID to ensure guests are over 21 for alcoholic beverages.
• Constantly demonstrate full knowledge of the spa’s facility such as steam room, sauna, whirlpool, be able to describe their benefits, and to communicate these to guests
• Constantly provide excellent attentive guest service to all spa guests
• Constantly follow all establish guest service protocols for the proper and consistent care and do so within specified timelines and without deviation
• Constantly clean showers after each guest usage
• Constantly wipe up any excess water from guest using wet area or showers
• Constantly fold towels when bins are received from housekeeping
• Constantly take dirty linen bins to housekeeping daily
• Constantly retrieve clean linen bins from housekeeping daily
• Constantly assist guests within the locker facility with towel, robe, spa sandals
• Constantly notify spa desk personnel of service upgrades and /or changes
• Constantly greet all guests who enter the spa and display knowledge of services available
• Constantly display professional appearance and always conduct with both guests and employees
• Constantly report any service issues immediately
• Constantly assist in other areas of spa as needed including reception and retail areas
• Constantly maintain equipment and supplies daily
• Constantly maintain all work-related areas in accordance with spa standards
• Occasionally assist in training new associates
• Occasionally assist in inventory control
• Constantly read logbooks, communications boards, memo’s daily and be responsible for information contained therein
• Constantly follow uniform and grooming guidelines
• Constantly work varying shifts based on business needs including holidays and weekends
• Constantly give tours of the spa and fitness center
• Constantly help maintain overall cleanliness of the fitness center
• Constantly maintain a safe environment for guests and fellow team members and report any safety issues ASAP

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing, sitting, listening, reading, and speaking
• Constantly pushing and pulling items up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to push a linen bin to and from housekeeping
• Constantly using wrist motion, dexterity, eye/hand coordination, writing.
• Physically able to stand, bend, lean, and walk for up to 10 hours. Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
