Senior Accountant

Calling all candidates with a public accounting background! LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for a rapidly growing company located in Omaha, NE. This position will be responsible for supporting the basic accounting functions of the organization, including reconciling account balances, bank statements, maintaining the general ledger and performing the month end close. This is an excellent on ramp into a leadership or management position in the future.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial reports, records and general ledger accounts
• Perform month-end close, reconciliations, compliance reports, variance analysis and reporting
• Utilize data to prepare and post journal entries
• Work closely with all departments throughout the organization and collaborate with the accounting team
• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately, timely and in-line with policies and procedures
• Adhere to, review and make recommendations for internal controls and procedures
• Support the annual audit process
• Provide back-up for various tasks done by other team members
• Special projects as assigned

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience

• 3-+ years of accounting experience in public accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, Vlookups)
• Analytical skills and strong understanding of US GAAP accounting

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail orientated with strong analytical skills

Compensation/Benefits

• $75,000-$90,000
• Benefits apply to hiring company
