Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Merry Hill, North Carolina is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course and related grounds, including turfgrass, irrigation systems, landscaping, and equipment. This leadership role requires a knowledgeable, proactive professional who will ensure the course is maintained to the highest standards of playability, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and supervise all golf course maintenance activities, including turf management, mowing, fertilization, pest control, and irrigation.
• Develop and manage the agronomy budget in coordination with the General Manager.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment and tools.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical and irrigation systems.
• Monitor course conditions and implement agronomic programs aligned with seasonal and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with golf operations staff to align course conditions with event schedules and member expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, state, and local regulations.
• Communicate regularly with management and ownership on course conditions, project timelines, and long-term planning.

Requirements:
Degree or certificate in Agronomy, Turf Management, Horticulture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent at a high-quality facility.
Current North Carolina pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Deep knowledge of warm-season turfgrasses, especially Bermuda.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Hands-on, team-oriented work ethic with a passion for excellence.
Proficient in irrigation management systems and turfgrass equipment.
