Job Overview: The Allocation Specialist plays a critical role in the supply chain and merchandising functions by ensuring the right products are distributed to the right wholesale accounts at the right time. This position supports sales goals, optimizes inventory turnover, and ensures smooth execution of order fulfillment across all wholesale channels. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and customer orders to develop allocation strategies across wholesale accounts.
  • Allocate merchandise based on account performance, sales targets, and inventory availability.
  • Partner with sales, planning, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of goods.
  • Maintain accurate allocation records and monitor account fill rates, stock levels, and shipping schedules.
  • Identify and resolve allocation-related issues, such as overstock, understock, or delivery discrepancies.
  • Participate in seasonal planning, product launches, and promotional events by coordinating allocation efforts.
  • Create and distribute regular reporting on allocation performance, sell-through, and account health.
  • Support inventory transfers and rebalancing initiatives across accounts or regions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field. • 1–3 years of experience in merchandise allocation, planning, or inventory management, preferably in wholesale or apparel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Exenta, EDI, JOOR, Faire, Shopify )
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
